University Counselling Centre

University Counselling Centre

The University Counselling Centre provides students with structured, continuous and personalised support throughout their high school journey, helping them better understand themselves, clarify their goals and develop academic and university pathways suited to their individual strengths and aspirations.

University counselling is embedded throughout high school. Through progressive one-to-one conferences, academic progress monitoring, career planning tools and personalised consultations, the University Counselling Centredevelops a deeper understanding of each student’s interests, strengths, goals and changing needs. This allows the team to provide targeted guidance on course selection, extracurricular planning, major exploration and university applications.

The process extends beyond university admission itself. Students are encouraged to develop stronger self-awareness, reflection, judgement and independent decision-making as they plan for the future.

Personalised Counselling

Every student brings a different academic profile, set of interests and future goals. Through regular one-to-one counselling, the University Counselling Centre develops individualised plans and adjusts them as students progress.

Support includes:

  • Exploring interests, strengths and future directions
  • Academic pathway and course selection
  • University and major research
  • Extracurricular and profile development
  • Standardised testing and application timelines
  • University selection and application strategy
  • Personal statement and application support
  • Interview preparation
  • Offer evaluation and final university selection

Progressive Conferences

University counselling is a continuous process throughout the high school journey.

At different stages, students take part in structured and progressive conferences. Early conversations focus on self-discovery, academic planning and interests, before gradually moving towards major exploration, university research, application preparation and final decision-making.

Career Planning and Reflection

The school integrates university counselling with career planning platforms to help students monitor and reflect on their academic progress, interests, activities and changing goals.

Through regular reflection, students are encouraged to better understand their strengths and areas for development, while building clearer connections between their academic choices, university majors and future career directions.

Global University Applications

The University Counselling Centre supports students applying across different higher education systems around the world.

Student destinations include the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong SAR, Australia, Canada and other countries and regions, as well as specialist pathways in areas such as art, music and hospitality. The team helps students understand the requirements of different application systems, build appropriate timelines and strategies, and receive consistent support throughout the application process.
